It’s Up for Debate
Research shows that personal “Top Ten” and “Top One Hundred” lists are very popular. People just like to read them. When you post them on a blog, people don’t just read them. They can contribute suggestions. They can argue with the poster and with other readers who contributed suggestions. They can start an on-line conversation. With blogging, the one-sided perspective provided by newspapers and other official news sources are replaced by passionate debates. Everyone gets to contribute their own opinion. With multiple perspectives, it’s possible to see that most issues are multi-faceted. You may not agree with everyone who responds to your post. But multiple responses can leave everyone with a deeper understanding of an issue. Including you.
