We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, if you want to keep readers coming back to your blog, keeping it updated is a must. Try to post more than once a day. It’s a great idea to include a sidebar listing posts of recent blogs. That way people can go back and catch any posts they missed. They’re going to want to do that if you’re doing a great job of telling a story in installments. You should also be providing important information in installments, if you give away all of your information in the first post, readers won’t have any need to come back. Encourage social bookmarking, too. And become personal with other blogs. Know what’s going on at your own favorite sites and mention them regularly. You’re going to sound really up to date if you know what the other guys are blogging about, too.
