Go With the Flow

You know, one of the things that’s so great about this form of communication is its free-flow structure. Blogging doesn’t depend on complex structure to promote an argument. Any idea can be expressed by anyone. Any idea can be accessed by anyone. Blogging separates good ideas from bad ideas, sort of like a built in quality control center. Another great thing about blogging is that bloggers converse. They don’t lecture. Right now, as we speak, real-time conversations are happening. Where newspapers and e-zines just lecture, blogging starts a conversation. Ideas are provided as a starting point for dialogue, not an ending point. The user is in control. Disagree with a newspaper? Recycle it. Disagree with a blogger? Tell him. Personal blogs provide a space for people to share thoughts and feelings on a personal level. On a professional level, business blogs help keep customers updated on a company’s latest news. And either way, you get to hear what your readers actually think.
